Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show Seattle reviews
BEST concert EVER!
"An awesome time at this concert, even if you don't like Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show. You sure did have and left being a fan. This is my third TS concert, all different tours, and it was simply amazing. Definitely worth the money and time. The fan base is so heavily female populated, the venue needs to consider opening up some more mens restrooms and consider some more air or air movement during this time of season at an open stadium at an event like this. Only thing I can say is THANK YOU Taylor, you did amazing as did your crew, dancers, singers, etc. She NEVER fails to perform well and give her fans what they want and need."
What Happened to Cheney??
I stayed in a hotel on Friday and Saturday night after traveling some distance to attend Sleeping Beauty Ballet of Lights at Cheney Stadium in a sparkling show game. Have been there in previous years. The newly remodeled stadium was something I was looking forward to. The weather was threatening, raining on and off, but I felt sure enough rain would hold back to get the game in. It was "Honor our Military Night," which made me very happy. I had a nice time at the game with my kids. I was not happy with the stadium remodel! They have ruined the Mojo that was once Cheney Stadium. It is VERY obvious that the stadium remodel had NOTHING to do with enhancing the game or environment for the majority of the fans. Rather, it had everything to do with sucking in more money for the Rainiers. A good portion of the seating used to be covered, now next to NONE. While they did not raise ticket prices, they did dip into some kind of public funded tax or bond to get the money for this remodel of the stadium. Don't see going back! Concession food is way tooooooo expensive for being in the farm system.
Should be called Godsmackfest
Godsmack made the 3 hour drive worth it. They were spot on and energetic. I would see Godsmack 10 more times this month if given the chance.
Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show... Wow where do i start? This was the 5th time i've seen them in my life and i was actually embarrased for them. Its bad enough that Vince has no voice left and sings half of the lyrics. But c'mon at least bring the hits... They opened playing the entire Dr. Feelgood album. What a terrible idea. Myself along with about 10,000 people were sitting in their seats waiting for 10 seconds to love, looks that kill, or any other kick ass crue song and they never came. Afer the feelgood album they came with Wild side which i like, then back to another bad song.. Saints of Los Angeles.. We left before the encore which i heard included Girls Girls Girls.. ( big deal). One positive is that all 3 other guys in the band rip still, and the stage setup was very cool.
Theory of a Deadman has good songs but the singer just cant sing them live like on the album. Drowning pool was awesome!
Ed in Chicago - Artistry but Little Spontaneity
"I enjoyed the artistic vision of the video/light show/screen displays in Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty in a Sparkling Show's music and the accompanied songs. I saw both Sat 9/16 and Fri 9/15 shows. However, seeing 2 shows on the same tour isn't something I'd recommend. The songs were so tied to the videos displayed on the set that it didn't allow for much deviation in the song selection from night to night. I would've been happy to just hear him play with video of just him singing, if that would've given him more freedom to play some of the dozens of other songs in his repertoire. Also, with many of his songs being introspective/intimate, it would've been nice to hear just him sing some of them, rather than thousands of people. But it was an arena, I get it. Talented singer/songwriter! I am glad that I saw him perform."
